How they differ
BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide derived from a protective protein found in human gastric juice. TB-500 is a synthetic fragment of thymosin beta-4, a naturally occurring protein present in most cells and in wound fluid. They share a research area, not an origin.
Their mechanisms are studied differently. BPC-157 is most associated with angiogenesis and with upregulation of growth factor receptors at the site of injury, so much of the literature is local. TB-500 binds G-actin and influences cell migration, a mechanism that is inherently more systemic.
Because the two mechanisms are largely independent, they are commonly studied in parallel rather than as alternatives — which is why they appear at the same price point in this catalogue.
