How they differ

Semax is an analog of the ACTH(4-10) fragment, modified to resist enzymatic breakdown. Its research literature centres on neuroprotection, BDNF expression and cognitive endpoints.

Selank is a synthetic analog of tuftsin, an immunomodulatory peptide fragment. Its literature centres on anxiolytic endpoints and on GABAergic and serotonergic signalling.

Both originated at the same Russian institute and share a delivery route in the published work, which is why they are so often mentioned together despite targeting unrelated endpoints.
